About the Presenter

Dr. Renne is a Full Professor and Assistant Dean of Innovation and Digital Dentistry at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is the co-director for the two-year advanced residency in Digital Dentistry and has won several national and regional teaching awards for his efforts both pre-clinically and clinically. He is proficient clinically with the Planmeca Emerald S, CEREC Primescan, Medit i700, 3Shape Trios, and iTero. In addition, Dr. Renee is passionate about 3D printing in dentistry, with over 20 printers at his fingertips, including FDM, SLA, DLP, LCD, and SLF. He is also active in dental research and currently has several patents, including a patent for a platform of long-term antimicrobial dental materials with revolutionary bond durability components by inhibiting enzyme degradation of the hybrid layer while simultaneously preventing bacterial proliferation. He has also published several studies on scan accuracy and milling accuracy using various systems.
